Fruit and Grain Cereal

Ingredients

For 15 people

  • 2 cup(s) oats
  • 1/2 cup(s) wheat bran
  • 3/4 cup(s) barley nugget cereal
  • 1/4 cup(s) toasted wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup(s) dried peaches
  • 1/2 cup(s) raisins or chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup(s) dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup(s) chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
  2. Store in an airtight container up to one month.
  3. To serve, place 1/3-cup cereal in a serving bowl.
  4. Add 1/2-cup skim milk, non-fat yogurt, or unsweetened applesauce; stir and let sit five minutes before serving.
  5. This is also great heated in the microwave for about 1 minute.
