Lemon Shrimp and Grits
Shrimp can stand on its own -- but when served with creamy grits it\'s a completely new culinary experience.
At a glance
2/3 cup water
2/3 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup quick white grits
Salt to taste
3 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
1/4 cup shredded spinach
3 tbsp. shredded Parmesan cheese
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Lemon white sauce
For the grits, combine water and heavy cream in heavy saucepan; bring to boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Add bacon, spinach and Parmesan cheese. Season to taste. Season the shrimp and grill them. Place 3 oz. grits in center of hot plate. Arrange three shrimp around grits. Pour lemon sauce over each shrimp.
