Simple Chili Soup
Your basic chili dish just got a little bulkier with the addition of rice. If you're in the mood to go against the grain, call it macaroni in its place. You won't be disappointed.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 2 can red kidney beans
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 sm. onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup rice
  • Additional water

  • Methods/steps
    1. In heavy skillet or pan, brown crumbled beef and onion. Add beans and tomato soup. Season with salt and pepper and chili powder; heat and serve.
    2. Vegetables may be used, omitting the chili powder, 1/3-cup rice with more water added to make a vegetable soup. Simmer for 30 - 60 minutes.
