Special Cornbread
It may sound corny, but this really is the best thing since sliced bread. Serve this country fixing with chicken, fish or whatever you feel like. It's sure to put those store-bought brands to shame, especially when you slather it with some butter.

Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal
2 tbsp. flour, heaping
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups boiling water
1 cup oil, for frying

Methods/steps
Heat water to boiling. Mix dry ingredients, add hot water a little at a time and stir until batter is the consistency of mud. Take 1 1/2 tbsp. of mixture and shape and press until it is a patty. Fry in hot oil [not too hot] until done. Test one before you take them all out of the oil, it should be crispy outside and chewy inside.
