Ingredients
For 6 people
61/2 to 3/4-inch thick slices sweet Hawaiian bread, egg bread, or raisin bread
2medium pears, sliced and mashed
4 tablespoon(s) tub of cream cheese with pineapple
1/2 tablespoon(s) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon(s) butter, melted
2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1/10 cup(s) Sifted powdered sugar
1/10 cup(s) Chocolate curls
Directions
Toast bread and let cool. Combine mashed pear, cream cheese, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Spread some of the mixture over each toasted bread slice. Place slices on a cookie sheet. Layer pear slices on top of cream cheese mixture. Brush pears with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Broil bruschetta 4 to 5-inches from the heat for 30 to 60 seconds or until pear slices just begin to glaze.
To serve, sprinkle tops with sifted powdered sugar and garnish with chocolate curls. Serve immediately.
