Creamy Chicken and Waffles
Sometimes the best meals come from the least likely combinations. Imagine a combination of creamy chicken on a plate of freshly-made waffles. Now sink your teeth into this decadent dish.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup(s) butter
- 1/4 cup(s) Bisquick
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 2 cup(s) milk
- 2 cup(s) cups cut up cooked chicken or turkey
- 2 cup(s) Bisquick
- 2 tablespoon(s) oil
- 1 1/3 cup(s) milk
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Melt butter over low heat in saucepan.
- Blend in Bisquick and seasonings.
- Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in milk.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Stir in chicken.
- Prepare waffles.
- Beat all ingredients with mixer until smooth.
- Pour batter from cup or pitcher into center of hot waffle iron.
- Bake until steaming stops.
- Lift off waffle carefully with fork.
- Makes 3 - 9 inch waffles.
- Serve hot creamed chicken between each two-waffle section.
