Nothing says Southern comfort like shrimp and grits. This tangy version is full of barbecue goodness and is perfect for any meal, from a Sunday brunch to a dinner party.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large shrimp
  • 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice (approx. yield of .5 lemon)
  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 1 dash(es) pepper
  • 1/2 cup(s) fresh Southern style grits
  • 5 333/1000 tablespoon(s) homemade barbecue sauce
  • 2 ounce(s) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 ounce(s) shredded Jack cheese
  • 2 ounce(s) fresh chopped bacon

Instructions
 

  • Saute large shrimp in olive oil, lemon juice and butter.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour grits on plate or in martini glass and add shrimp.
  • Top with barbecue sauce, cheeses and bacon.
