There are actually a slew of dark nail polish colors that are currently in style. So don't be afraid of the dark. In November, OPI will introduce a Muppet-inspired line, which includes Gone Gonzo, a glittery icy blue shade that's the perfect complement for pale skin. Other colors in the full line include: Animal-istic (wild bright red), Wocka Wocka (deep berry), Meep-Meep-Meep (fuchsia) and Getting Miss Piggy With It (glittery red).
The hot new shade from NARS this fall is Galion, a deep shade of gray. You can pull off sleek and shiny grays with just about any look. From Essie's fall line, discover Carry On, a beautiful burgundy brown or Power Clutch, a greenish-gray shade. If you're feeling rusty, brush up on the trends with Very Structured, a great rust color. A dark red with a slight trace of pink also works for all types of skin. Dior has three new warm shades of red, including Trafalgar (an orangish shade of red), Gruau (a deep shade of red made popular by fashion illustrator Gruau) and Icone (a reddish-brown hue).
