Creating Romance on the Run

Being too busy for romantic grand gestures is unfortunately a fact of life for many couples, and it's one that can spell a relationship's downfall. If you feel like the romantic spark and those little gestures that tell each other you care have all but disappeared from your relationship, then it's time to take advantage of the few precious moments you do have in order to create a little romance. For busy parents, getting a moment away from the kids can be next to impossible. Babysitters are expensive, so maybe a night out on the town doesn't fit your budget. But an hour or two out of the house might just do the trick. Pack a picnic and head to a local park for a quick bite with your beloved. Another idea for sharing a meal and reconnecting might be to save the fancy dinner and opt for lunch instead. If you work in proximity to one another, then getting together for a bite midday could be the way to get more face time. If you both work out, then that's a great way to spend some quality time together, particularly if you're out and about enjoying nature on a hike, biking excursion or just a stroll.

Think these ideas are all wet? Why not try a steamy shower or bath together? After the kids go to bed - or even as you both get ready for work in the morning - hop in together. Use a sweet-smelling, creamy soap to lather each other up, and simply enjoy each other's company. If it's in the morning, you'll each have something nice to think about until you get home. And if it's at night, who knows how much steamier it'll get once you dry off? Technology may seem to get in the way, but if you use it to send quick, romantic messages to your partner, he or she will certainly take notice. It doesn't have to be sexting - simply let your partner know you're thinking about him or her. It's the little things that help rekindle the romance in your relationships. Start small and big things are sure to happen!
