Look Photo-Shoot Ready

A picture is worth a thousand words, but are all of yours negative when you get are caught on camera? The reality is that not everybody is photogenic, and seeing a few bad photos too many can make anyone camera shy. The good is that there are things you can do to look like a supermodel, even if you aren’t one. Regardless of whether you’re having a bad hair – or anything else – day, there are still ways for you to look your personal best. Look crystal clear with eye drops. A few drops, and you’ll quickly make the transition from tired eyes to bright eyes. Invest in some double-sided tape. Nothing can fix a wardrobe malfunction, errant bra strap or other fashion flaw like miracle-working tape. It’s the perfect instant fix when you don’t have time for a tailor. Give dry, chapped lips the kiss-off by mixing together sugar and vitamin E gel. Massage the concoction into the lips, let it sit for a minute and wash it away with a damp cloth. It’s the perfect treatment for your pucker. When contending with stray hairs, give your brush a shot of aerosol hairspray. Gently smooth down flyaways with the brush.

Want to take pounds off your frame immediately? Practice proper posture. Stand up straight and suck your stomach in. Your clothes will appear more flattering. Of course, the angle is everything. Learn to vogue and you’re already ahead of the game. Stand with 3/4 of your body to one side. Never face the camera directly. Put the hand closest to the camera on your hips – this will make your arm look thinner. When arms are hanging down, they flatten and look wider. Then turn your face toward the camera. If you’re looking for a way to stave off the waddle or the turkey neck, make sure you are not photographed head on or from down below. Always have the camera shooting downward. Another trick of the trade is to slightly raise your face to look into the camera. But don’t go too much, or you’ll end up looking like an ostrich.
