Cabbage & Beef Casserole
Beef up your cabbage with this delicious dish. The medley tastes similar to stuffed peppers -- but without the peppers. Chock full of flavors this home cooked beef meal will have your family begging for seconds.
Ingredients
- 24 ounce(s) chopped cabbage
- 16 ounce(s) ground beef sirloin, browned
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 3/4 cup(s) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup(s) uncooked rice
- 1 3/4 cup(s) low fat vegetable broth
- 1 dash(es) salt
- 1 dash(es) pepper
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except broth together in large bowl.
- Transfer to 9x13 inches baking dish and pour broth over the top.
- Bake covered at 350 degrees for 60 minutes, then uncovered for 30 minutes (or until rice is cooked).
- If it starts to dry out before rice cooks, add 1/2 cup water over top and stir.
- Ready in 1 hour and 40 min.
