Oat what a feeling! This hot breakfast is a great way for you to blow off steam first thing in the morning. Prepared with sugar, spice and everything nice, the palate-pleasing porridge is rich in nutrients and great taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cup(s) water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 2 cup(s) old fashioned oatmeal
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup(s) milk
  • 1/4 cup(s) dark molasses
  • 3 tablespoon(s) maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup(s) brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tablespoon(s) ground ginger
  • 1/4 pound(s) golden raisins
  • 1/4 cup(s) chopped walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Lightly sweetened whipped cream or vanilla yogurt for accompaniment Heat water and salt until boiling.
  • Add oatmeal and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Combine next 10 ingredients and add to oatmeal.
  • Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan and bake, uncovered, in preheated 350 degrees oven for 2 hours.
  • Serve hot topped with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla yogurt.
