Rice Pilaf

When you're looking for a scrumptious side dish, sometimes it is important to go against the grain. And that's just what this palatable rice pilaf does. With an awesome blend of flavors, it is sure to bowl you over.

Rice Pilaf


For 10 people

  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 2 ounce(s) chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup(s) diced white onion
  • 1 tablespoon(s) margarine
  • 2 cup(s) chicken stock
  • 16 floz water
  • 2 whole bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 16 ounce(s) Uncle Ben’s Rice


Sauté vegetables in margarine until tender. Combine chicken stock, water, bay leaves and salt. Bring to boil. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place rice in deep baking pan. Mix with vegetables and liquid mixture; stir well. Cover pan with foil. Bake 1 hour.
