Stylish Hair for Hot Weather
The heat is on – so it only makes sense that you want the coolest hairstyles of the season. With the change of seasons should come a change in hairstyles. When considering how to wear your lovely locks on those hot summer days, keep in mind you want to be as cute as you are cool. From buns to braids the possibilities are endless. Even if you’re a novice when it comes to styling your hair, these super dos are actually seamless. Pony up with a traditional pull-back hairstyle. We’re talking about the ever-fashionable ponytail but with a sexy twist. Pull the hair back in a rubber tie. Massage a texturizer into the roots to add volume to the hair. Then tease the top of the hair. The ponytail shouldn’t be too high or too low – leave it at eye level. Smooth out the sides for a sleek look. If you’re looking a style that will leave you in a bind – literally – why not go for a front braid, side braid or fishtail? For picture-perfect waves, divide wet hair into three sections. Braid each section. When hair is dry, undo each braid and apply a texturizing spray.
Another example of how a little effort can go a long way in making you appear simply stylish in the sun is the half up, half down look. Part the hair down the middle. Pull back a small amount of hair from each side and place hair in a clip. Rub styling cream into the hands and then twist strands of hair to form waves. When the temperatures are on the rise, get your hair off the back of your neck by flipping over your hair and pulling your hair into a ponytail on the top of the head. Then wrap the hair around the base of the pony and leave the frayed ends hanging out. For a darling disheveled bun look, part hair down the center. Pull hair back in a ponytail. Secure with an elastic and twist hair into a bun. Run two long bobby pins through the center to keep it in place. Let any extra wisps hang loose for some added oomph.
