Margarita Sherbet

Tequila and sherbet sound like they'd make strange bedfellows, but it's a pleasant surprise. This adult-only beverage is a great after-hours treat.


Margarita Sherbet

Ingredients

For 1 people

  • 1 1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 24 floz water
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) grated lime peel
  • 2 2/3 floz tequila
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt

Directions

Combine sugar and water in saucepan and boil 5 minutes to make syrup. Add lime peel during last minute of cooking time. Remove from heat and stir in limejuice. Cool and place in freezer. When frozen to a thick mush, remove and place in the blender. Add remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly. Refreeze. Serve in salt-rimmed glasses.
