Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 3 lb. coarsely ground beef chuck
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup Bacardi dark rum
  • 1 can tomato paste (6 oz.)
  • 1 can tomatoes (1 lb. 12 oz.)
  • 3 cans kidney beans (16 oz. each), drained

  • Methods/steps
    1. Heat oil in 8-quart pot. Lightly saut onions, garlic. Add meat. Break up and stir until color changes. Add remaining ingredients. Stir, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Add seasoning to taste.
